All work published in Journal of Case Reports and Images in Surgery is open access and freely available, published and distributed under Creative Commons Attribution International License. This allows unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction of an article in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited and due credit is given to authors and original publisher. Full-text of all articles published in the journal is available free of charge, immediately on publication. Readers can view, download, print, and redistribute any article without a subscription, enabling a much greater distribution of an author's work. This translates into wide dissemination and increased impact of the authors published work.
To support the open access publication, processing charges are paid by the authors. The Article Processing Charges can be paid from author's research budget, by their supporting institutions or by authors themselves. The processing charges covers the entire cost of the publication process. This includes office expenses, staff salaries, maintaining the websites, hosting environment, software for processing manuscripts, editing, peer reviewing, copyediting, typesetting, publishing every paper in multiple formats, submitting the articles to electronic databases, and membership fees of academic organizations and societies.
The processing charges allows us to publish the articles and make the full-text of all published work available free of charge to the readers in any part of the world. The current Article Processing Charges are given below.
Ability to pay the processing charges or waiver status will not influence editorial decision making.
The Article Processing Charges (APC) are billed to the corresponding author upon acceptance of the article. There is no submission or handling fee for the articles.
