CASE STUDY 121 (Anonymized)
On 02 November 2013, the corresponding author was informed that it was a case of duplicate publication and IJCRI takes a very serious view of duplicate publication and plagiarism.
On the same day, the following email was received from the author:
“Oh dear, I apologize for the confusion. I had originally submitted this article to Publisher XYZ for publication; however, was unaware and unable to comply with the substantial publishing fees. After numerous emails and telephone conversations with Publisher XYZ, I was under the impression that it would not be published. I was COMPLETELY unaware that they went ahead and published it, and am not sure how or why they did that?! Again, I sincerely apologize for the confusion.”
The manuscript was desk rejected due to duplicate publication.
